Every few weeks, we do a no-technique week at Hensel Kenpo Karate. The adults get exposure to grappling or Muay Thai or just a good workout…usually both. In the kids class, it means more fun drills and games and a few extra runs in the obstacle course.
We had a blast today!!!
First I’d like to thank you all for your patience as I get the Hensel Kenpo Karate website up and fully functional.
The newest pages are in the Student Information tab on the main menu. There you will find the Formalities that you will be expected to know as a student or parent of a student at HKK regarding etiquette and required equipment. Also, the Class Structure page will share some Key Concepts of Kenpo as well as the Structure of Instruction of the system and classes.
I hope that these pages are useful and easy to use for you. Please let me know if there is information not contained in those pages and let me know what would be helpful for you.
Hensel Kenpo Karate will be starting a Pre-K Karate class called Lil’ Dragons at My Urban Toddler on Michigan Ave and State Rd. in Saline for kids ages 30 months to 5 years
Classes will start in January with demos beforehand so you can come and check it out.
This will be a play-based class. Parents are encouraged to be in the room and participate if they like. Kids will learn basics of blocking and punching and kicking with an emphasis on the right times to do karate. We will talk about how to be safe and the importance of listening to parents and teachers.
The kids will have fun, get some exercise and learn discipline and focus.
Contact Mark for more information and go check out MUT, its a great place to take the kids for a fun, safe playplace.
We are making some changes to the schedule effective immediately. The Saturday Kickboxing class will now be at 11:15am. I think we all want to get our workout done and get on with the weekend.
The Adult Kenpo class that day will now be directly after that at Noon. We have also added a Tuesday morning class at 11:15am for Adult Kenpo.
The Kids Kenpo class will not change. It will remain at 2pm on Saturdays.
